Regional Salzburg & Styrian cuisine before the gates of Salzburg
Anyone who is a guest at the Kaiserhof Restaurant has truly arrived in Salzburg in two ways: the spatial and the culinary. At the same time, you can discover the taste of Styria, south of Salzburg. This is because there is one thing that is especially important to our new Styrian Head Chef Hans-Jürgen Dorfer and his team – regional cuisine. To be more exact, the blend of Salzburg specialities and Styrian delicacies.
And what would a typically Austrian dish be without Austrian ingredients? Certainly not the same! This is why the Kaiserhof cuisine is based on almost exclusively ingredients from Austria's culinary pleasure regions. And from farmers from the adjoining regions of Salzburg, Upper Austria, Bavaria and Styria: for this, we were awarded with the AMA Gastroseal for the first time in 2008 – and have been every year to date.
Regional, fresh, seasonal
It's not through regionality alone, but rather quite the opposite. In the Kaiserhof menus as well as the culinary calendar, seasonal dishes set the tone. The lunch menu varies on a weekly basis. The meals are, of course, cooked fresh daily and the breakfast buffet has been certified organic since 2017. The dishes are also refined with fresh herbs from our own herbs garden.
Our berry garden also contributes to the variety of the dessert menu: from raspberries through blackberries, currants, blackcurrants, jostaberries, gooseberries and blueberries to aronia berries, the kitchen team (and happily too the neighbouring children and the little birds) serve delicious treats throughout the summer months.
Bzzzzzzzzz... We are especially proud of our own, organic-certified bee populations that live on the flat roof of the kitchen.
The best thing of all: the doors of the Kaiserhof Anif are open to everyone. Hotel guests, seminar guests, business travellers, regulars, neighbours, friends, friends of friends. And all those who enjoy Salzburg and Styrian specialities of the highest quality.
Electric charging stations: While you are topping up on enjoyment, your electric car can top up its batteries. The Tesla Superchargers and the hotel's e-charging stations on our large car park are free for all Kaiserhof guests to use.

We know our suppliers personally. Only in this way can we ensure that exclusively Austrian quality products land on the tables and plates at Kaiserhof. For example, wholewheat pastries from Bäckerei Bauer from Mühlbach and fresh eggs from Kastnerbauer Organic Farm from Anif.
