Welcome to the Kaiserbar, perhaps the most diverse pub in the Salzburg area! Our Kaiserbar is THE beer bar in the south of Salzburg and also a paradise for whisky lovers. Historic walls meet cozy and perfectly upcycled bar design, and the walls sometimes tell of the former flair of the “KaiserRanch” from times gone by. Today, the Kaiserbar presents itself in new splendor - as a stylish and cosy hotel bar with a unique range of drinks.

Beer pub of the year & craft beer paradise

The Kaiserbar was named “Beer Pub of the Year 2017” for good reason. Beer fans get their money's worth here: over 15 different types of beer are waiting to be discovered by you. Our focus is on craft beer - i.e. artisan beers from small breweries, both regional and international. From fruity IPA to malty red ale and strong stout, we have a balanced selection of creative beers in our range. Would you like to try something new? Our bar team - led by bar manager Fritz - will be happy to advise you and find the right beer for every taste.

In addition to changing specialty beers, we of course also stock classics: a freshly tapped, cool Gösser Märzen (a traditional Styrian beer) tastes just as good at the Kaiserhof as unusual beer specialties. We also frequently organize themed beer evenings, e.g. a “Salzburg Beer Flights” tasting or a meeting of local craft beer brewers.

Whiskies from all over the world

Those who like it higher proof will love our whisky collection. Over 40 top whiskies from all over the world are waiting to be tasted by connoisseurs - from Scottish single malts to Irish and American whiskies and Japanese rarities. Whether smoky Islay whisky, mild Speyside or bourbon - we have an exquisite selection to choose from. Our regular whisky tastings are very popular whisky tastings, where we present and taste several varieties in a relaxed atmosphere. Of course, you can also order individual drams at the bar at any time.

Our bar team looks after every drop with dedication: a good whisky is served in the right glass, with a splash of spring water or a special ice cube if you wish - whatever you prefer. We are also happy to tell you the stories and flavors behind the individual whiskies. An evening in the Kaiserbar can quickly become a little whisky world tour!

Cocktails, drinks and bar food

In addition to beer and whisky, we also know our way around classic cocktails and long drinks. From A for Aperol Spritz to Z for Zombie - our bartenders mix everything your heart desires. Try our Kaiserhof signature drinks: for example the “Kaiser Mule” cocktail (a variation of the Moscow Mule with a local touch) or the “Martini-Feez”. Those who prefer to enjoy non-alcoholic drinks can choose from creative mocktails, homemade lemonades or one of our exquisite teas.

To ensure that your physical well-being is not neglected, we offer a small bar menu in the bar in the evening. How about our famous Highlander burger (burger made from organic Highland cattle) as a hearty snack with your beer? Or a Vulcano toast, fresh from the oven, ideal for sharing?

Atmosphere & opening hours

The Kaiserbar is a meeting place for hotel guests and locals alike. In a stylish ambience - a mix of modern lounge character and traditional elements - you can end the day here. Cozy seating areas, a long old solid wood bar and atmospheric lighting invite you to linger.

Kaiserbar opening hours: Monday to Friday from 17:00 - 23:00 (hot food until 21:00, bar service may be longer for hotel guests). Open at weekends according to demand/planned events. For groups or special occasions we also open the bar at individual times - just contact us. In the months of June, July and August the Kaiserbar is closed and you can spend a cozy evening in the guest garden.

Private parties & tastings

The Kaiserbar can also be booked exclusively for private parties or corporate events. Our bar can accommodate up to 50 people. Popular events include after-work events, birthday parties with beer tasting or stag parties with cocktail workshops or single-malt whisky tastings. Let us know your wishes - we will arrange a tailor-made bar event for you.
