FAQ - Frequently asked questions
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is possible from 14:00 on the day of arrival. If you arrive earlier, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us and use all the hotel facilities until your room is ready. Check-out on the day of departure should be by 11:00 am. If required and subject to availability, we also offer a late check-out (please enquire at reception, possibly for an additional charge).
Do you offer a shuttle service or transfer?
Yes, on request we can organize a transfer from/to the train station or Salzburg Airport. We can also provide a shuttle bus for groups (e.g. for excursions or to events during the festival season). Please let us know in good time if you require a transfer so that we can arrange everything.
Is the hotel barrier-free?
The Kaiserhof Anif is a historic building without an elevator. Therefore, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee complete accessibility. However, the restaurant and conference area as well as the Kaiserbar on the first floor are easily accessible for guests in wheelchairs. Please note that there are currently no wheelchair-accessible toilets. For special requirements, please contact us before arrival - we will find a suitable solution together.
Is there WLAN and how much does it cost?
Yes, free and fast WLAN is available throughout the hotel (rooms, restaurant, seminar rooms). You will receive the access data at check-in.
Can I charge my electric car at your station?
With pleasure. We have numerous e-charging stations of different types. Of particular interest to Tesla drivers:
There is an official Tesla Supercharger with 12 charging points (up to 140 kW charging power) in our parking lot. Hotel guests can use this as usual with their Tesla account and it is also free for all other e-vehicles. Simply download the Tesla app, register there, enter a credit card and off you go. In addition, we have a triple charger (bookable via EnBW or Smatrics), and our own DC fast charger with 120 KW and CCS connection. (€ 0.39 per KWH) and 10 type 2 connections (22 kW each) for all e-cars. Charging is possible for our hotel guests at cost price from € 0.24 per KWH. Download the charge point app and request the link for cheap charging for guests.
Are pets allowed?
Dogs and co. are welcome here! The Kaiserhof is a dog-friendly hotel. We only charge € 10 per dog per night. Dogs are allowed in the room and - well behaved and on a lead - also in many public areas (restaurant and bar). There are long walks in the surrounding area through the countryside and along the Königssee lake and we will be happy to show you the best places. We can provide a bowl, blanket etc. in your room on request. Please let us know at the time of booking if you are traveling with a pet so that we can plan a suitable room (preferably on the 1st floor and therefore close to the exit for walking).
Is there a restaurant in the hotel?
Yes, we have our own restaurant, which offers hot meals for lunch (Mon-Fri) and dinner (Mon-Fri) from September to May. The meals are served in the Kaiserbar. In the summer months of June, July and August, the kitchens are open from Tuesday to Saturday and the days off are Sunday and Monday, and the cozy guest garden is open for you. We also serve an extensive organic breakfast buffet every morning. At weekends we do not have a regular kitchen apart from breakfast, but we do serve snacks on request and of course the bar. For Saturday/Sunday evenings we are happy to advise you on nearby restaurants (some good options in Anif and the surrounding area). We often organize private parties at the weekend - if you as a hotel guest would still like dinner, we will always find a solution (please let us know).
How far is it to Salzburg and what is the best way to get there?
Salzburg's old town is about 8 km away.
By car it takes around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Parking is available, for example, in the Altstadtgarage parking garage or at the P+R Salzburg Süd.
The bus (lines 170, 175 and 35) takes you to the city center in about 20 minutes (bus stop “Salzburg Rathaus” or “Mirabellplatz”). The bus stop (Niederalm Ortsmitte) is just a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Tickets are free for guests since May 2025. You will receive an online ticket by email from reception after entering your details.
Cab: A ride to the center costs about € 20-25. We will gladly call you a cab.
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
There is no air conditioning at the Kaiserhof Anif. Thanks to the thick walls of our traditional building, you can enjoy a pleasant indoor climate in most rooms even on warm days. For particularly hot days, we provide fans in all rooms to offer additional comfort.
Do you have function rooms for celebrations or conferences?
Absolutely. The Kaiserhof specializes in events. We have a large ballroom and several parlors for celebrations such as weddings, birthdays, company parties, etc. as well as three fully equipped seminar rooms for conferences/workshops. Details can be found in the sections Celebrations & Events and Seminars. If you are interested, please contact us directly - our event coordinator will be happy to answer your questions or make you an offer.
Do you provide baby cribs or extra beds if required?
Yes, we have baby travel cots and highchairs. Please let us know when booking if you are traveling with a baby/toddler so that we can put a crib in the room. (For older children or a third adult, our spacious Comfort Plus rooms can be equipped with an extra bed (surcharge may apply, depending on the age of the child). Families can of course also use our vacation apartment with two bedrooms.
